What does vegan mean in cosmetics ?
Vegan in cosmetics means that products are not tested on animals and do not contain any ingredients of animal origin.
Today, very few ingredients of animal origin are still allowed: honey, lanolin, carmine... and animal testing is prohibited in Europe.
Are our Aemium products tested on animals ?
We do not test on animals and we do not use ingredients of animal origin.
For example, the leathery note of Rouge Confidence is obtained from plant extracts.
As our products are already certified 100% natural by ECOCERT, it did not seem relevant to us to pay another organisation to have the Vegan label. However, we do have Vegan certifications for each of our ingredients.
Are Aemium perfumes vegan ?
Our ambition is to offer exceptional perfumes whose quality is based on uncompromising eco-design. You will not find any suspect ingredients in our formulas. No dyes, no synthetic preservatives such as BHT, which is a preservative massively used in perfumery and suspected of being an endocrine disruptor !
Our perfumes are VEGAN : we do not use any ingredients of animal origin and we do not test on animals.
